I really like the OnePlus phones, but I haven't been keeping up with any reviews or anything. I mostly just like the specs and the fact that they can be rooted to a stock or custom ROM instead of using a "manufacturer-version of Android."
What would be a Pro or T level trade equivalent from OnePlus for my LG straight across? A 7 Pro or 7T? Would I have to go down to a 6T/Pro? Would I actually get an 8?

OnePlus starting putting 5G in their 8 series I think. It has the same Snapdragon 865 as your LG. Doesn't have wireless charging though. Battery is smaller, too.
Better to go that route anyway. I have the OnePlus 7 Pro and the popup front-facing camera is annoying. It's nice to have a full screen, don't get me wrong, but I think I'd trade a little hole for the mechanical popup.
The 8 is on for $849 CAD right now, it looks like.
