One of the kids in the comics has similar powers to Wanda, the other has similar powers to her brother. My completely uneducated guess is the kid with Wanda's powers pulled Quicksilver from another universe. It'd make a lot of sense, she told them about her brother from "far away", they tried to bring him back, but since they can't bring back the dead they got a different version of him. Probably without even knowing what they were doing.
