You got this completely wrong. Treliving trading Sam for a 5th rounder will tick off a few here, but it will mostly likely not affect his job here.
Holding on to Sam because you think he is worth more while causing drama in the room can spell a disaster. Unless he gets a great deal out of it, highly unlikely. It's terrible team management.
Now if the team actually had some success, sure, ignore that. But the team is and has been a huge disappointment for almost his entire tenure.
