I’m not advocating a trade, I’m not saying to blow it up, but maybe we should all just accept that our core is mediocre and inconsistent. We don’t know what we’re getting every night.
We’ve also seen huge decreases in quality from some veteran depth guys like Backlund. I think we need to adjust our expectations.
It’s still early, but nothing that’s happening is surprising anymore. They’re a bubble team.

Yep, they have some good pieces on paper but we've seen this core long enough now to know what they are. When they are on top of their game they look good, more often than not they look average because their top guys aren't the best players on the ice.
It's tough as a fan when you look at it on paper and think 'if this team plays their best every night they could be really good!'. But they don't. So it's time to lash out at someone, almost every single time it's the coach.
It's tough to tell yourself this is a very good hockey team when in reality they're not. It stings. Changes should have been last season.
