IMO playoff hockey gets less pretty and more heavy/gritty (I guess I am trying to convince you haha).

As I said to The Boy Wonder moments ago, I am speculating on this; it is not my position.
I agree with heavy hockey in the playoffs.
Just going from memory, though, did Tampa have heavy hitters crushing opposition D last year in the bubble? Honest question as I don't know.
Also, I remember the first few games of the CGY/DAL series. The narrative from commentators was how all the hits on the Stars D was going to soften them up for later in the series.
Didn't seem to work that way.
