I would expect that he waves.

Every time I think about I do chuckle a little. It's got be a bit of an awkward conversation: "Hey Looch, we need you to wave your NMC. At that ridiculous contract, and given what you contribute, let's face it, they are NOT going to take you off our hands. Just waive it and everything will be fine".
