They're both beasts, to be sure. I've spent more time on Series X and give it the slight edge for a list of various reasons, but have really enjoyed both systems. The good thing about Game Pass is its reliability when you're sitting around and "channel surfing" as it were for something to play. In the time between playing a generation's cardinal titles, it's a reliable trove to dip in to and find something you'd probably not otherwise experience.
That Xbox Game Studio titles drop in there at launch is just the mind-boggling sweetener. Games like Sea of Thieves and Gears that I've quite enjoyed the past few years - I've never actually purchased them individually.
