The Habs loss wasn't on him but he also didn't play that great. It seems like he's lost his confidence. The team will have to have one of its best nights to win with him in net and truthfully the Jets don't look that great as they didn't do a lot outside of capitalize on those early powerplays. That said if Rittich starts I imagine the Jets will win.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if his confidence is lacking, as the Flames have shown a lack of confidence in him when it most matters. Being supplanted by Smith for the playoffs 2 years back, then by Talbot last year and being thrown to the wolves in one game he came in in relief. Now he's been supplanted again and officially by Markstrom.
I'd feel bad too given how much water he's carried for the team in the regular season. Hopefully he can adapt. Because he's a really good goalie and the Flames need him.
