I actually find in succession almost every character walks this very fine tightrope between being appalling and empathetic, which is what makes it compelling. Just when your willing to burn Kendal at the stake you start to feel bad for the poor guy whos life led him down some many wrong paths. Even Logan at times, you feel bad for him just trying to preserve all the things he built, because every time he tries to turn it all over to one of his kids they #### it all up in new and creative ways, but then you remember he is just deplorable.
So true you don't like any of them, but there's always one of them hanging out there that you want to like in the moment. I'm not sure there is anyone your ever actually rooting for in Crown, I'm not sure they made even Diana empathetic.
