He won't get qualified based on what he is scheduled to be paid. So it is going to come down to get a diminished return or get nothing. This is asset management, so you take the diminished return and don't look back.

Maybe instead of taking the diminished return, you keep him for the playoffs. He becomes a rental that you already have. Might be better than throwing other assets at a rental that might have to go through quarantine protocol.
