Go back and read the posts - Bennett was excelling as a winger with Backlund & Frolik, everyone here was salivating saying "this will be our #1C, with Monahan as #2 - we are good to go!"
Then in comes GG, Bennett is relegated to 4th line, and is benched any time he makes a mistake. Completely destroyed the kid's confidence. Flames should NEVER hire a coach with the initials GG again as it appears they are the worst coaches in the history of the Flames.
Treliving really, really, really blew it with that hire.

Funny this on Tre for hiring Gulutzan, who was so terrible he was able to fully ruin a lottery pick player, yet he somehow wasn't able to fully ruin the remainder of the Flames roster.
All of GG's ineptitude and career ruining skills simply spiraled only on the shoulder of Sam Bennett. That's a good one.
