Carlsson got over 40 points (55) during his 24 year old season. Although I guess Trouba and McDonaugh are the same. So there isn't a single defensemen in the NHL who was a first round pick and had their first 40+ point season after the age of 24.
Again, Hanafin isn't bad offensively.
When is the last time a defenseman put up two 30+ points seasons with the Oilers? I'm pretty sure only Klefbom has done so in the past decade. And even he has barely done it.
