Yes, the point is you need both.
A lot of us don’t have both, I don’t have cable. So I pay $170 a year to watch the NHL, and due to my location that means I am blacked out of most Leaf games, which includes times they play the flames (unless it’s national Weds/Sat). It’s a pain in the ass. If I was a leaf fan who didn’t want cable then this service would be completely worthless.
It’s ridiculous that I am blacked out of 2 flames leaf games typically, and like 6 this season...
“Yeah yeah but you can just pay ANOTHER $20 a month for sports net”. No, this is dumb.
