I don’t support trading Bennett, but I understand why it might be best for both the player and the team. He should have been groomed to be the third line centre but for various reasons he has bounced around the lineup.
He needs to own most of the blame. His poor offensive output and bad penalties speak for themselves. But I do think the team has let him down as well.
Such a shame for the franchise’s highest-ever draft pick.
