In this humble yet experienced traveller's opinion, saving a few bucks doesn't hold ANYTHING to having customer service that is bar none.

I'm the same way. I can sacrifice a few bucks if the service is great. "You get what you pay for" is an adage that is founded in truth, for sure.
Where did you end up going, and what were some of the pitfalls you wish you could have avoided?
