As much as I really like Treliving’s style, composure, professionalism and negotiation skills... I am still very much convinced that he is not the kind of GM who would want a veteran coach. Especially not one with a decent resume. Tree is only a few years in on his career as a GM, and veteran coaches are typically more willing to fight for something they want to do — especially ones who have won something before.
So what do we do? If we want a good coach with a pedigree, we’ll likely need a new GM first. It will have to be someone who himself has some pedigree, or we’re right back in square one again.
