I used Spence's when I bought my wife's engagement ring about 20 years ago. Ya, I know, it was still a lump of coal that long ago. They gave me the same great service back then as well. Something we've found over the year's that you might like to keep in mind is the support they give on anything they sell. They've been excellent with any repairs, and in fact they just rebuilt the setting at a very reasonable cost. It needed to be repaired due to normal wear and tear, but rather than trying to do a patch job to it they offered to just melt the setting down and rebuild it to its original condition. I forget the cost, but it was not prohibitive by any means ... somewhere in the $150 to $250 range I think. A lot of jewelery stores won't even be around 20 years after purchase, but Spence's will be, so that's worth something on the service end of things.
