Based on the St Louis fan sentiment Dunn seems to be one of those guys that is good 90% of the time but when it goes wrong it goes really wrong (call it the TJ Brodie)
Seems that he has a tendency to get beat by forwards for breakaways or bad giveaways that are 5 star chances.
Who knows though, usually over time the expected goals metric would capture that and he looks fine there.

I think dmen are really hard to evaluate. Sometimes they are the ones that wear the goat horns because they are the player being walked right before the goal. But the mistake could have happened 5 seconds before with a bad turnover by a forward at the other blue, that allowed the player to come into the attacking zone with speed.
