by my count, 3 of the 5 seasons so far have been slow paced (1, 4 and 5) so it's not exactly a weird thing that they're drawing this out. my own angst about it is knowing there's only one more season to go, at the current pace that means the Marco storyline is likely the last of the series, unless they wrap it up halfway through next year and do a quickie 5 episode conclusion about the alien builders/destroyers or something.
but yeah it's not just Naomi that seems to have been stuck in the same spot for a while, the following groups have been at it for the majority of episodes as well:
Marco & crew - standing around the Pella staring at screens of stealth asteroids and ship movements
Holden & crew - standing around the Roci staring at screens of ship movements
Alex & Bobbie - sitting in the Razorback staring at screens of ship movements
Drummer & crew - standing around the Dewalt staring at ship scraps and daydreaming about murdering Marco and his crew exchange rep
this doesn't bug me that much since the acting and dialogue is still good, but compared to earlier conflicts like the Earth-Mars war that only lasted the first half of S3, it's not exactly what I was expecting. it's almost the complete opposite of how Game of Thrones wrapped up, where time accelerated by a factor of like ten by this point. I know for sure which one I prefer though.
