I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being happy that our two most criticized players are scoring at the same pace or better than most of the best players in the game.

Nobody is saying Monahan is on the same level as MacKinnon or McDavid, but the fact is that he’s producing at a better rate to start the season than MacKinnon and is just barely behind McDavid.

What’s wrong with positivity? It’s a miracle people want to sign here at all. How much higher of a bar do we need to hold for these players?

Absolutely nothing wrong with showing them some love for having a good start to the season. That’s all this is. This isn’t the “Sean Monahan is better than McDavid” thread.
