Okay, different conversation.
But any professional traders that sold call options would have had stops in place - they would not maintain open risk for entire positions. That is how you lose all of your capital, your firm, and your grandchildrens' education.
The bottom line is that, with respect to the options market, most positions in place are hedged, except for the open, long positions. And those positions result in selling, not buying.
