I don't know for sure, but my understanding is Fractal is still going ahead with their
JetShear commercial plant. They have a patented mechanical shear viscosity reduction process that will reduce diluent barrels. And I know of one or two other technologies that are moving from pilot to demonstration stage that will do the same. To me these are kind of a middle ground between dilbit and upgrade it all into synthetic crude.
