People looking at random papers thinking they might be of use, one guy sitting in Pence’s seat while another person says to not disrespect the VP and get out of the seat (as they cause the VP to evacuate into hiding). They came across as just stupid and impotent once they got inside.

It didn’t come across dismissive at all. The early images were of the big crowd, police ‘opening the fence’, and a bunch of ‘protesters’ wandering around, between the velvet ropes, and seemingly goofing around. These folks are not capable of a serious coup. Only later did we see real violence and hear evidence of some people being more organized.
