Monahan from CBJs standpoint makes a lot of sense. Someone who can step in now for them and is so boring that he won't recognize Columbus from New York. Torts may also be able to extract more out of him than any other coach I can think of.
My question is the true reason PLD wants out of CBJ. If it is due to wanting to play on a 'bigger stage', is Calgary that? Sure, its a Canadian market but its also a small market and way out west from where he truly wants to be - Montreal. Id be cautious as he could just pull more antics down the road. But part of me thinks the overarching reason is Torts. Sounds like they do not like one another.
