What is missing is the fact that while Ball was the regular radio guy for the BC Lions, he only did fill-in for the Canucks broadcasts on the radio.
So, while I am not suggesting that Ball didn't call Canucks games, I am saying that he was never the regular guy. That was Shorthouse from the time that Hughson moved to TV in the late 90s, all the ay up until more recently when Brendan Batchelor took over the radio broadcasts.

I think that is wrong. Shorthouse was definitely still doing the radio broadcasts along with the telecasts all the way through to when the TEAM 1040 lost the broadcast rights to SN650 when Brendan Batchelor took over. He and Larscheid were still on the radio together until 2011 when Larscheid retired and was replaced by Dave Tomlinson.
