Soul is the type of movie you would expect from an independent animation studio. It’s more about the philosophical journey than a traditional narrative. My kids (12 and 10) really liked it, as did I. But it probably wouldn't appeal much to very young kids. The themes and messages are great for older kids (and adults), the music is good but again not the type young kids would likely appreciate.
