Yup. The skill sets are so different between the two. There are great coaches at the college level who could not translate success to the NFL and there are successful coaches in the NFL that would suck at the college level.
College coaches have ~20% turnover every year (complete turnover every 4-5 years) and must know how to teach football skills. They are also developing high school age kids mentally and physically every year. Plus the whole academic side of it. NFL coaches don't deal with any of that.
They are two very different games.
