Sending out 25 year old Hamilton, 26 year old Ferland and 20 year old Fox (who refused to sign) for 23 year old Lindholm and 21 year old Hanifin.
After 2 disappointing playoff exits the team could be in a position to do the same by moving 26 year old Monahan or 27 year old Gaudreau for 22 year old Dubois.
It is far from a rebuilding trade but makes the core of this team younger with a longer runway in my opinion. I would feel a lot better about giving 24 year old Tkachuk and Dubois 8 year deals than I would 29 year old Gaudreau and Monahan.

I don’t think anyone who is against the offers being suggested are disagreeing with this thought process.
We are merely stating adding high end assets to an offer that already includes Johnny or Monny is ridiculous.
