I don't beleive any democrat official was talking impeachment then.
The press did, but not for any specific crime, just in general. These were not serious talks or predictions.

We talked about it here because the guy was a walking disaster. But no actual thereat was there until the Ukraine call.

Very different from a republican promising to draft articles of impeachment on day 1.
