oof...that lineup is all sorts of ugly.
Take comfort in the fact that all teams go through a cycle like this. The Flames in 2013 were pretty hard to watch most nights. Lots of absolute junk in the lineup. Just take the small victories where you can, such as "the team played hard tonight and kept it close". There are a few pieces to build around, but truthfully, you'll need to find some takers for Kane and Keith while they still have value.
I'd say "best of luck", but the Hawks continuously caved in the Flames' heads over their peak years, and I'm still a little bitter about that 1st round playoff loss when the Flames were at their height in 08/09. That was a pretty good team that ran straight into the Hawks on the upswing. The Flames had just traded for Jokinen and he came in blisteringly hot at almost a point per game. They also had prime Iginla, Phaneuf, Regehr and Kipper, but also Langkow, Cammalleri (a point per game player that year), Conroy, Bourque, Glencross, Bertuzzi, Gio, Aucion, Sarich etc. They could have gone on a run that year IMO.
I guess what I'm saying is that it's time for you to take your lumps. Enjoy!
