I would add: if you're a team who could slot in Ryan as veteran depth, how many other forwards are still available on the market, willing to sign for near the league minimum? We signed three of them this year ourselves.

Also, how many people think Ryan will be on the team next year? I like him a lot, but unless it's for something in the $1M range, I'd be surprised if he's back.

On a semi-related note, I'm NOT missing Mark Jankowski hanging on the fringes as a 4C this year. I hope he does well in Pittsburgh, as it likely wasn't going to happen here...
