You make a huge mistake, and sign a guy to a not super great (even at the time) contract (with a limited NTC!), and then have to turn around and buy him out. And then you bring him back again, and then once more on a PTO. I'm just saying optically, aren't there about 300 other guys who could be equally as mediocre as Stone? Should Tre at least have some shame about signing that deal in the first place?

Stone lives in Calgary. Even in quarantine he can wave at his wife and kids and there's no time zone issues, and assuming it doesn't pan out, he just drives home. There are only 4 RDs on PTOs counting Stone, and IMO Stone is as good or better than 2 (and the other is Hamonic). Plus only Hamonic and Stone are on PTOs in Canada (including the LDs).
