The more I think of this, the more I dislike it. Both Ryan and Kylington should not be on waivers. Both players, at different stages of their careers, are good NHL'ers. If someone claims Kylington, I believe he'll thrive. Any rebuilding team would be smart to take Ryan - because they'll have a good player who they'll be able to flip for a pick or two at the deadline.
I fail to see the master plan at this stage. If it's just about recouping a few thousand dollars a day while they toss Ryan/Kylington onto the taxi squad, I think the risk is greater than the benefit.
