Demko has started 37 games over 3 seasons. He has not established himself as a starter yet. Not even close. No doubt Vancouver fans are expecting him to take over the starter's job this year, but until that actually happens, it hasn't.
Last year, Koskinen started 38 games and Smith 39, so it's a tough call. But they have to pick one.
No matter who you call the starters though, both Edmonton and Vancouver are no good.
