As someone in the “trade Mony for PLD” camp, I want to clarify that I’m still a big fan of Monahan’s. I still think he’s a viable #1C in this league, and there’s plenty of teams that would love to have him-I would love to have him AND PLD, but that’s not a likely scenario. Like the previous posters have said, it depends on how you see PLD in a year or two. Will he turn out to be Ryan Johansen, or will he be Tyler Sequin? 65pt C with size and toughness, or 90pt C with size and skating. I say that eithet way, he’ll be a big upgrade on Monahan. Like I said on the previous page, there’s a LOT he can do that Mony can’t, and his presence adds another dimension to our offence. This isn’t set in stone, it’s just my opinion.
