Lockett had 100 receptions (7th in the NFL) and 1054 yards (17th in the NFL). Those are both the highest in the NFL for a “#2” receiver. One of the highest “Catch Rates” in the NFL too, especially for receivers with as many targets as he had.
He was probably the best “#2” receiver in the NFL this year looking at the stats, his numbers are actually on the upper end of #1 receivers.
Maybe it’s Russ that needed to do a better job of finding his other options, and trying to spread the ball around. 11 targets tonight for Metcalfe (5 catches), and 4 targets for Lockett (2 catches).
552 out of Metcalfe’s 1303 yards came in 4 games, not that much different, just how Receiver stats are usually distributed in the NFL.
