"Bad goal" in this case is not something that was simply determined by observation. These guys have set over 30 data points to track for EVERY shot taken in a NHL game. A bad goal is pretty specifically defined according to a combination of the criteria, which have been decided upon by actual goalies and goalie-coaches. It's not arbitrary, even though an onlooker might think otherwise.
