I can't help but wonder what exactly Trump's desired outcome was for these events. Was he just hoping they would intimidate members of Congress and occupy the building in a lengthy standoff, or that they would light the place on fire, or that his supporters would end up getting violently crushed by the police? It could have been much worse, and it doesn't sound like he was satisfied with the outcome.
