What a head scratcher. It seems like many of you think the police should have used more force, but once they do so, it is immediately too much force....This was a real life and death situation where they not only feared for their own lives, but also had to protect the government officials within the building - full stop.
The minute you decide to invade a government building by force, use pepper spray on police, utter threats, toss projectiles etc is the minute you have lost any right to be treated conservatively by authorities. What more of an imminent threat do you need in order to take action? The masses were probably merely a few feet away from innocent people taking refuge in the building where this woman was shot.
Tragically, this quite likely is the action that put an end to the mob's advance into the building. Sad to think someone was willing to put their life on the line for that orange DB. What a waste.
