She was a deluded MAGA-head so anything is possible, but I hope there is an investigation.

The rules of engagement would be extremely different and have an extremely wide latitude.

It was a mob, in a Federal building, with most of the Federal Lawmakers at risk. They had been warned many times to cease. As well the tactical situation was unknown, How many of these terrorists were armed? We don't know, but I'm thinking that the assumption that there were gun toting morons in the crowd. So its not the usual put your hands up, get on your knees lie on the ground so I can cuff you scenario.

The rules of engagement were that deadly force was allowable if the mob acted in any and all threatening manners.

And before anyone asks about non lethal options, a rubber bullet at that range would have probably killed her. As would a lot of nl projectiles, and a taser is a terrible weapon in a mob scene, plus they could role in a tank with a water cannon as the doors are pretty small.

I feel bad that she died, she was a veteran who probably served her country well, but that's no excuse for being in that mob storming the capital.
