Well if you're so concerned with morals, then you should be more sympathetic to the why the BLM riots happened, and could be viewed as a necessary evil.

Look how much attention and response that it brought as a result. Because for the BLM movement, it took other people getting impacted indirectly to maybe acknowledge the oppression that happens to blacks, and perhaps actually do something to end it so they aren't treated differently because of the colour of their skin. When they get personal injury from those protests, they got a taste of the pain blacks have had to deal with for centuries.

It would be ideal that these changes could happen through non-violent means, but history has proven that the incentive isn't there if there isn't consequences for not doing the right thing. If those riots didn't, not only would more black people would've gotten killed in 2020 by the police due to 'excessive force', but we also wouldn't be having discussions on the oppressions that the black community is facing.

If the riots leads to less unnecessary deaths and discrimination against a particular race, the means are justified for a better end result. As mentioned in this thread already, a riot led to the foundation of our democratic system that we value significantly.
