I know this is the common sentiment, and one i was steadfastly in agreement with years ago, but I just don't think there is any real evidence of this.
An argument could be made that CEO's or Executive's of large businesses would have experience in managing a large bureaucratic organization like a government, but even then i find the overall function of both to be entirely different.
