I like Lindholm at RW. The Flames have a weakness at the position, and Lindholm is our best there. If he plays centre, then he displaces someone from their best position - like Monahan or Backlund, which isn't great.
People are discounting how good a player Backlund is. He is an excellent centre, even though he doesn't put up 30 goals and 80 points. He was one of the best Flames in the playoffs last year. Some sound like they simply want to discard him so Lindholm can play centre. That doesn't make any sense.
With Lindholm at centre, right wing looks much weaker for the Flames.
