But in 2022, Warnock's seat is up again, as is the Georgia gubernatorial election. Let's assume Abrams runs again (as many expect her to). Warnock and Abrams would be an absolutely historic ticket for the Georgia black community. But on the other side, Trump has already promised to see that Kemp pays for not finding a way to give him Georgia. If there's a bitter battle between a Trump acolyte and Kemp, and the results of election day is special elections for both the senate and governor, a good chunk of Kemp's supporters or Trump's supporters might just stay home for the special election.
