You'd think that beyond the evil wishes that people would do. Wishing your annoying neighbor a painful death. Or eternal suffering to your ex.



You'd think the world would be a depressing place after the renouncing of the wishes.


Your kid is dying of cancer, you get the wish and use it and then have to renounce it. You can't afford to feed your family make a wish that makes it possible to do that. An end to war wish, or an end to famine wish.


And you have to renounce that, the premise was based pretty much on everyone making selfish choices for their wish spinning the world into chaos.


I mean what about the harmless wishes. IE The Steve Martin Christmas wish of a 30 day continuous orgasm.



First of all, probably most people wouldn't renounce it, second of all, a lot of people would renounce it and having viewed a personal paradise would blow their brains out.



Third of all, why would a psychopath renounce his wish? He'd want to see the world burn. Some KKK racist would wish for the wiping out of all blacks in history. A neo nazi the return of Hitler, the nerd that was bullied eternal torment and suffering to his bullies.



After I read the spoilers on this, I just went back to the fact that this movie was doomed to fail thanks to the premise and writing. The Plot is a entire issue and the seeming desire to make this a G rated super hero movie burned away any chance of emotional consequences.

Ya after reading about it, I think this has to be the dumbest premise ever for a superhero movie. I was going to say that Patty Jenkins should get some slack as director because there's not much you can do with writing that bad, but then I saw she wrote it too. So yea, Disney should be very worried
