Also, 6 months ago, playing professional sports seemed like a very dangerous endeavour. There were many breakouts among professional sports teams. The bubble turned out to be relatively safe, but even then, there were reported cases of Covid initially. Hamonic, since his father's passing, plays a very important role with his family, and there were all sorts of reports of how dangerous covid was to children at the time the NHL bubble came into being.
I get that in hindsight it was a bad trade. The role of defencemen has changed, and unfortunately Hamonic's lack of speed means he's unable to adapt. However, Hamonic is not the type of player that should be booed. The Flames could use a few more players with his attitude.

I totally disagree with this for his final season. He was terrible last year, he played like he could care less. Many of us even were happy when he opted out because the alternative D men could not possibly be worse. Regardless of why he skipped the playoffs I will be thrilled if he ends up in Vancouver.
