And I think that is as much due to his style of play, and his attitude, as his injury.
He looks like a player who likes to, and expects to, dominate. He likes to rush the puck and do it all himself. He likes to jump into the attack. And he likes to have the puck on his stick. What he clearly doesn't like is having to work for the puck, or play defense.
Against Austria, he was able to do whatever he wanted, and as a result, he was engaged and energetic. But against Russia, he couldn't do those things and quickly lost interest. If you watch him in his own zone, he has very little interest in engaging other players defensively, and was easily beaten, one on one, on numerous occasions. The only time he re-engages is when he thinks he can get the puck back. The exact same issues were prevalent against the Americans, maybe even more so.
The problem that he is going to face is that, in the NHL, he won't have the puck much. He won't be able to dominate. And he will have to play defense a lot more. Unless he changes his attitude, he is in for a rough go of it, IMO.
