Since the Vezina is voted on by the GMs, there are much fewer players receiving a vote than the other awards. Also, they only get 3 votes rather than the 5 that the other awards get.
5 of the 30 NHL GMs who voted this year considered Markstrom to be one of the 3 best goalies in the league (16.7%).
Price did not receive a single vote. Obviously, neither did Smith or Kostinem. |
