Not so. The last time Sweden lost a game was 31 December, 2006. It was a 3–2 OTL to USA. The last time Sweden lost in regulation was 26 December, 2006, when they were shut-out 2–0 by Canada.
In the fourteen years since they lost a game, Sweden has won one championship (2012), five silver medals (2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2018), and two bronze medals (2010, 2020). In the same period of time, Canada has won six championships (2007, 2008, 2009, 2015, 2018, 2020), Team USA has won three (2010, 2013, 2017), and Finland has won three (2014, 2016, 2019). Russia has also won only one championship, but they have won five silver medals in that time (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2020), and five bronze medals (2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019).
