Twitter is akin to getting bitter drunk. People post stuff on Twitter that they probably wouldn't say in every day conversation with every day people, but on Twitter they feel that underlying sense of confidence provided by the platform, much like when someone gets bitter drunk, they feel that underlying sense of confidence brought on by the drink. I know that's a bad analogy considering it's Theo, but I still feel its apt.

I follow one individual on Twitter who's got a decent following and has decent intelligent posts mixed in with nothing but bitter rants, nothingburger tweets in order to tweet, etc. One of the tweets they posted that always sticks with me was "I'm nothing in real life like I am on Twitter." I find that hard to believe. The platform drives crazy town and I feel like people's personas on Twitter are pretty close to their real selves once you peel away the niceties and filters of every day conversation. Obviously, some more than others.
